Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Passwords alone are often no longer sufficient – phishing and data breaches threaten accounts daily. MFA solves this problem through the principle of "Knowledge + Possession" (e.g., password + smartphone). Even if an attacker steals your password, the account remains protected without the second factor.
Technical Implementation:
We rely on the open industry standard TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password, RFC 6238). Based on a secret key (shared secret), the authenticator app on your device generates a new, valid 6-digit code every 30 seconds. This process runs completely offline on your device.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
SSO is your "Master Key." Instead of remembering dozens of passwords (and often writing them down insecurely), you log in once centrally and gain access to all linked applications. This increases comfort and drastically improves security.
Technical Implementation:
Authentication is performed via protocols such as OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML 2.0. A trust relationship (federation) is established between the Identity Provider (your login server) and the Service Provider (Moqlero). No passwords are transmitted; instead, cryptographically signed tokens (JWT) securely confirm identity. For maximum security during token transmission, we additionally use PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange).
