Single Sign-On & IAM: The MKL Enterprise Identity Service.
End the silos of isolated user databases. The new Identity Service centralizes authentication and authorization for the entire Moqlero platform. It is optional and primarily intended for companies without their own infrastructure. Large enterprises usually already have a central system (e.g., SSO Provider/Ldaps Server), which can be connected seamlessly.
Central IAM (Identity and Access Management)
The service acts as a "Single Point of Truth" for user identities:
- Global User Repository: Creation, maintenance, and deactivation of users in one central location for all connected sites.
- Granular Role Model: Definition of global roles (e.g., "Quality Manager") with linked local permissions (e.g., "Reviewer Signature").
What does this mean?
- MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) combines independent security credentials – Knowledge (password) and Possession (smartphone/biometrics) – to securely prevent unauthorized access.
- SSO (Single Sign-On) allows users to securely access all connected applications and services with a single login, eliminating the need to re-authenticate for every software.
